Biography

Born in the summer of 2003 in the coastal city of Viana do Castelo, Portugal, Lara has always exhibited a natural creativity and deep passion for the arts.

 Her artistic journey began formally in 2018 when she enrolled in the scientific-humanistic Visual Arts course at Monserrate Secondary School in her hometown.

 In 2021, she advanced her artistic education by joining the Bachelor's degree program in Visual Arts at the University of Minho in Guimarães, completing her studies and earning her degree in June 2024. This formal education refined her artistic vision and expanded her technical repertoire, providing a strong foundation for her multidisciplinary approach to visual arts.

 Lara's artistic practice is distinctively multidisciplinary, characterized by a spirit of experimentation across various media including video, photography, embroidery, printmaking techniques, collage, painting, and innovative use of social media platforms as artistic spaces.

 Her work explores themes of travel, longing, nostalgia, and the preservation of memories, creating visual narratives that bridge personal experience with universal emotional landscapes.
